After Syncdata's SmartPhoneNotes, another Notes application was released yesterday by PhatWare: PhatNotes Smartphone Edition. According to PhatWare, it's an advanced notes organizer for Microsoft Windows Mobile powered Smartphones and Desktop PCs. PhatNotes allows users to create notes and organize them by type, subject, creation and modification date. PhatNotes provides powerful text search, document security, and email capabilities. Interface to the Contacts Database enables quick access to email addresses and contact information.

PhatNotes Smartphone Edition also offers many enhanced features including hyperlinks between notes, multiple notes database support with tree-like views, hierarchical notes organizer, customizable views, user reminders, a spell checker, HTML export capability with support for customized templates, and more.

PhatNotes Smartphone Edition allows synchronization of notes located in multiple databases, links between notes and hierarchy of databases between Smartphone devices and desktop PCs. During installation you can choose if you want to install the PhatNotes application on your desktop computer or to synchronize your Smartphone notes with Microsoft Outlook.

Right now, PhatWare only supports the Motorola MPx200 from AT&T Wireless (USA) and the Samsung i600 from Verizon Wireless (USA) and therefore I wasn't able to test it.
PhatNotes is available from Smartphone.net for US$ 19.95 and a trial version is also available.

Cheers ~ Arne

Compared to Syncdata's SmartphoneNotes this is pretty lame! I will continue to stay with SmartphoneNotes!
