UTILITY: SmartPhoneROM Patcher

There is a new utility available which removes the application lock for Smartphone 2002 devices right before you copy and install a new ROM from your PC to the phone:

SmartPhoneROM Patcher easily removes application lock for development on Microsoft Smartphone 2002.

This tool will patch the ROM file before downloading to the device (e.g. on ROM upgrades). There are no difficult steps to remove the application lock any more.

This method is generic and can be applied to all old/current/upcoming Smartphone 2002 ROM's of any provider. Tested with Orange ROM 1.35, 1.5x and Mitac XXX

Since it seems to seriously work you should have to keep in mind that changing anything in the ROM can completely freeze your phone so I suggest this method for experienced users only!

Cheers ~ Arne

hi! i wonder if this would solve my problem with the ROM upgrade.  my SAP's ROM version is incompatible with the i-mate rom upgrade.  i hope this would help me solve my problem.  i'm really dying to upgrade my rom after all the reviews i read here.  you guys are really doing a great job!  more power!

@Briggy: No, it doesn't and if you aren't sure what it does for you PLEASE DON'T try it.

The problem you have with your SAP is the Bootloader not the ROM version. Only chance is to downgrade the Bootloader what I've learned so far.

Is this the sort of thing I need to look at to get rid of outlook and install some sort of PDA version of Lotus notes - if there is one.  I've just started at a new company and have found that they have a Lotus Notes email/calander system that they are not planning to change any time soon. sad

@urbanscrawl: Nope, this is completely different topic. It's not about synchronization but about "easily" removing application lock for Microsoft Smartphone 2002.

I beg your pardon.  I wonder, is there somewhere here on the site where I could ask about dealing with this synchronisation issue?

@urbanscrawl: Maybe you should try the Forum as well!
