Following the previous photoview of the upcoming O2 Xda Guide - since last week also known as the 2009 HTC Touch Cruise - today we are presenting a 20 minutes detailed videoview of O2 Germany's upcoming Xda Windows Mobile Professional smartphone. While the O2 Xda Guide runs on Microsoft's Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional, it uses HTC's TouchFLO (2D) enhancements to make the use of the touchscreen even more comfortable. With the O2 Xda Guide/2009 HTC Touch Cruise, HTC also introduces two new TouchFLO features: Footprints and Maps Search.

Footprints, which can be either launched from TouchFLO or a dedicated hardware key, allows the user to geo-tag photos as well as adding notes to geo-tagged photos. Furthermore it's possible to show the geo-tagged photo on the preinstalled Google Maps Mobile or to navigate to the location, using preinstalled TomTom Navigator 7. Maps Search allows the user to search in Google Maps Mobile for business or addresses, straight from the Today screen while results are displayed in Google Maps Mobile again.

Last but not least, HTC introduces NaviPanel with the O2 Xda Guide/HTC Touch Cruise. NaviPanel automatically starts as soon as the device is put into the car kit. It gives one touch access to the most important tasks and applications, including the possibility to navigate to a predefined or recent location as well as launching Footprints or the phone interface.

Cheers ~ Arne
