Following the earlier photoview of the Sony Ericsson Aspen, here's the unboxing and hands-on of Sony Ericsson's (most likely) last Windows Mobile 6.5.3 smartphone, the company announced back in February. The Aspen supports quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE and dualband UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA at 900/2100 MHz, WiFi b/g, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, aGPS and a FM radio with RDS. It's a messaging smartphone with a front facing QWERTY keyboard and a 2.4" QVGA (320 x 240) resistive touchscreen, and the fixfocus camera that supports 3.2 megapixel only. The Aspen runs on Windows Mobile 6.5.3, Microsoft's latest Windows Mobile version which will replaced later this year by Windows Phone 7.

The Aspen is a Sony Ericsson "GreanHeart" phone which means made from recycled plastics with waterborne paint. It's now available in two colors (iconic-black and white-silver) across Europe for around 225 Euro.

Cheers ~ Arne
