Late January, Palm released its vanilla Palm Treo 500 Windows Mobile 6 Standard smartphone which was before exclusively available from Vodafone only. Featuring Windows Mobile 6 Standard, triband GSM/GPRS (but not EDGE) at 900/1800/1900 MHz and singleband UMTS at 2100 MHz (but not HSDPA), Bluetooth 2.0+EDR (but not WiFi) and a 2 megapixel camera, the Treo 500 is an entry-level thumb-keyboard smartphone for messaging addicts. At a size of 16.5 x 61.5 x 110 mm, the Treo 500 weighs 120 grams. Depending on the country, Palm's vanilla Treo 500 is either available in white or gray.

The sales pack includes the device, a removable 1200 mAh Lithium-Ion battery, a 110 - 220 Volt world-charger with several adapters, a USB sync cable, a 2.5 cm stereo headset as well as some user documents including the manual and a getting started CD-ROM which also includes ActiveSync 4.5:

The Palm Treo 500 is available, without any subsidiaries,  for around 399 Euro.
