Today I'm unboxing the Toshiba Portégé G900 Windows Mobile 6 Professional smartphone. The Portégé G900 features a semi-automatic slide-out keyboard and is therefore a direct competitor to HTC's Hermes and Kaiser UMTS/HSDPA Pocket PCs. Unlike the mentioned HTC devices, the Portégé G900 only features triband GSM/GPRS/EDGE and singleband UMTS/HSDPA but also WiFi b/g and Bluetooth 2.0+EDR which makes it a great wireless modem for Notebooks. In addition it has two cameras - the main camera on the back which supports 2 megapixel and a front facing QVGA camera which is used for UMTS video-telephony. Like the G500, the Portégé G900 also provides a unique and enhanced level of security through fingerprint recognition. The fingerprint sensor can also be used to navigate the phone's menu and to unlock the device:

I will follow-up with the review of the device later. In the meantime feel free to ask your questions in the comments bellow as well as don't miss the photo view of the Toshiba Portégé G900 here.

Cheers ~ Arne
