In this video view I'm showing you some of the feature highlights of the Vodafone LG KS20. First of all the Today screen shortcuts - LG's way to make the thumb-use of the KS20 more convenient. And indeed it's a nice and useful implementation, with the the grouped applications. However, I have one major concern: You cannot customize the sub-menus. Therefore you cannot add any additionally installed applications to the sub-menus but you have to use the Programs folder instead. Interesting is the fact, that LG uses a Broadcom Bluetooth stack instead of the - for Windows Mobile 6 devices - typical Windows Mobile Bluetooth stack.

The inbuilt FM radio works with a connected stereo headset only, which acts as an antenna. This is quite typical for mobile devices. Untypical is the fact that you cannot use the inbuilt loudspeaker instead of the headset but you can listen radio through the stereo headset only.

Last but not least the touchscreen. While the KS20 screen is designed to be used with thumbs also, unlike traditional touchscreens which are better used with styli, the Plexiglas is somewhat squashier. With squashier I mean you that can easily hit the LCD screen - compared to a HTC Touch device. Sure, you have to press harder than on normal touchscreens but less hard than on HTC Touch devices:

More to come soon - stay tuned.

Cheers ~ Arne
