The previously announced MPLAT USB Flash Phone F1K for Skype is now available from MPLAT. The Flash Phone F1K will focus on mobile user who working at different place. Plug and talk, unplug and leave.

The Flash Phone F1K for Skype is a USB audio device plus flash driver. You can download and install Skype in flash driver, make/receive the Skype call at Flash Phone, save your chat history and transfer file in flash driver.

The Flash Phone F1K will focus on mobile user who working at different place. Travel and drop in any internet bar, keep your important file and chat record, plug and talk, unplug and leave.

"Our customers demand the highest mobile products both in home, office and travel environment. Our product will address on Skype voice communication and mobile user." said Denny Gao, Project Manager at MPLAT. "The mobile user would happy to use Flash Phone, whatever your used computer have audio or not, simply plug the Flash Phone, don't need bother your client's computer, don't need other device, just use the microphone and speaker (include in Flash Phone) make a free Skype call. Provide the best quality leading edge VoIP solutions to user".

It's interesting to see how Skype creates inventions like no other VoIP service before and the concept is smart indeed. Nevertheless, I'm still waiting for a phone compliant integration of Skype for the Windows Mobile platform, for instance that Skype can use the internal phone speaker instead the regular Pocket PC speaker.

Nevertheless, Flash Phone F1K is available on sale now for US$ 46,90.

Cheers ~ Arne

do you need to install skype in every compurer? or is it embedded in the flash?  being embedded makes it truely mobile as opposed to having to install in every computer.

No, as I understood you don't have to install it every time again but once on the memory stick only, than you can run it from there. Everything else wouldn't makes sense - imagine you start an installation in an Internet café or on one of these Airport computers. wink
If this is required, the concept failed, if it runs stand-alone, it's an interesting idea!

I have purchased the flash phone from MPLAT.
It is stand-alone, I only need dowload the skype one time and I can use it at any computer, but only support WINDOW, if it can support MAC or linux, then it will pecfect solution.
MPLAT kindly provide a leather travel case, so I take all stuff in it and I like it. hope they can cut the price, I still feel expensive litte.
