EZOS supplies its micro-browser to the xda from O2, the Industry's First Pocket PC 2002 Phone Edition software-based device.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - April 17, 2002 - EZOS, a provider of Mobile Internet software products and services is proud to announce the successful integration of its micro-browser into the xda from O2, the industry's first Pocket PC 2002 Phone Edition software-based device. The agreement also includes an upgrade path to EzWAP 2.5, the upcoming version that will include new features from the WAP 2.0 specification: MMS, WPKI, and Provisioning.
EzWAP 2.1 places Mobile Internet information and services in the palm of your hand. Devices such as the xda that run our EzWAP micro-browser, offer easy and secure access to relevant Internet/Intranet information over wireless networks, thanks to our integrated support for WML, cHTML and XHTML basic standards.
"Mobility isn't just about voice telephony. More and more organizations are relying on mobile and wireless devices to conduct business. By embedding RSA Security technology into its micro-browser, EZOS offers the only micro-browser equipped with strong two-factor authentication and data protection. As a result, mobile workers can confidently use EzWAP 2.1 to access their corporate networks for e-mail and mobile services, directly from their xda" explains Jean-Claude Streel, Business Development Manager at EZOS. "We're pleased that mmO2, like other leading PDA, Telematics and mobile solutions companies, has selected EZOS software for their products" he adds.
"The xda launch is a significant event for mmO2, and is a clear example of our stated objective of maintaining our lead in mobile data. We are extremely pleased with this agreement with EZOS as it provides us with even greater
differentiation for the xda device and gives our business customers greater flexibility for complete mobile data solutions", says Neville Street, VP Devices, mmO2.
